The Far Side of The Moon
This image from the Zond 8 spacecraft shows the side of the Moon that we Earthlings can’t see from the surface. This is because the Moon rotates the same rate as it orbits around the Earth, making it show only one side to us. We can actually see 59% of the Moon from Earth over the course of a month. And that huge (900km across!) impact crater is the Mare Orientale.
